IDS Device Manager

The IDS Device Manager is a web application that comes preinstalled on all sensors version 3.1 or higher. This application can be used to configure and manage your CIDS sensors. You can access the IDS Device Manager using Netscape or Internet Explorer. Unlike CSPM, this application can’t be used to create multiple configurations for multiple sensors.

The IDS Device Manager provides a GUI interface that’s used to configure each sensor individually. Figure 25-4 illustrates the IDS Device Manager view displayed during the initial connection using Netscape or Internet Explorer.
