Once the security policy is approved, it’s time to make sure that any security measures specified or appropriate to the policy are properly installed and configured. The rest of this book focuses on many of those technologies. In the next chapter, beginning in the section on “Improving Network Security,” you start looking at those basic configurations that should be a part of every device configuration.
