Patriot Act, 2001 (USPA)

Mandates the establishment of due-diligence mechanisms to detect and
report money laundering transactions. This establishes new privileges of
law enforcement and U.S. special services to intercept and obstruct terrorism.
Among many other provisions, the Act mandates the establishment
of due-diligence mechanisms to detect and report money laundering transactions
through private banking accounts and correspondent accounts.
